Black Copper Marans Hatching Eggs

Marans are a robust breed originating in France, where they are described as the “perfect farm hen.” We tend to agree!  This beautiful bird is balanced, strong, and sturdy.  We strive for the American Standard of Perfection in our flock as well as good egg color.  
 
Keep in mind that eggs you receive will be from hens that are all at different points in their laying cycle.  Black Copper Marans lay their darkest at the beginning of the laying cycle and lighter towards the end of the cycle.  Our birds have already been laying several months, so expect lighter than pictured.
